Love coming here on the weekends with my friends, but the girl bartender on Thursday and Sunday evenings is NOT friendly. Should find a bartender that actually enjoys being there and not on her phone.....other guy bartender on Thursday evenings is great though!

Food is good, but service is so-so. Came here for brunch and it took over 10 mins for someone to acknowledge us. They didn’t even clean off the table from the previous people who had been sitting there...ew

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I was inappropriately touched and groped at West End Tavern and instead of kicking out the guy who did this to me I was brutally handled instead and forced to leave. I've never been grabed like this in my life and I will never be returning and advise other young women to do the same. West end tavern is a place that supports victim blaming and sexual harassment. I would never wish this feeling upon anyone. The actions of your staff were disgusting and there are several bruises all over my arms from being grabbed so aggressively. There’s no reason that much force needed to be used on me.

Fabulous sizzling mushrooms, even better than I remember from years ago. A great homemade veggie burger. They have an app called tuna fingers...ahi tuna! Large portion at a great price for quality ahi!!

First time here. Great Sunday brunch menu with some very well prepared classics. Great service and relatively inexpensive pricing. Their lunch menu looks interesting as well. Dinner menu is fairly standard bar fare.

Great local hang out! Good place to relax and enjoy some cocktails with friends!

Really affordable happy hour. Salads were surprisingly fresh (salads are the best option for anyone gluten free). Pleasantly surprised by this tavern.

To start I really recommend the Blackened Tuna Sticks, Fried Jalepeno Bites, The Martha, and Steak toquitos. West side is a cozy place for a nice casual meal that won't disappoint. We will be dining here again.

$3 bloody Mary’s on Sunday are awesome. Name is also awesome- didn’t even need to use my gps to get there. It’s all in the name.

This is a surprising bar. The food is excellent and far from typical bar food. The service is pretty good and the prices are good.

The best "dive" bar in Lakewood. If you are looking for a local vibe then West End Tavern is the place. Food is not your typical bar fare either. You will find something for everyone here, we’ll prepared and of the highest quality. The staff is fantastic as well. Fantastic happy hour deals too. You won’t be disappointed if these are the attributes that you are looking for in Lakewood.

Great place to get some good food or just a drink with friends. Nothing fancy, but a great neighborhood bar. The staff is really nice and always attentive. The door is really what makes this place shine. They offer the normal bar stuff and also some unique dishes as well. Get there before 10:30 and the crowd is a bit older, mostly gen-x. It will slowly transition into a standing room only spot for those younger, 35 and below.

Neighborhood tavern with flat screens and a juke box. Ordered the burger topped with pulled pork. Good burger and cooked just right. I would have loved it more if the pork was smoked. Ordered a side of barbecue sauce and I didn't pour it on the burger. It was horrible. Other than that it was a warm atmosphere.

Loved Sunday breakfast ! Eggs Benadict with fresh spinach and artichoke side of home fries . They also offer Bloody Mary and Mimosa . Very fresh.

Great place for drinks , one of my favorite bars

Something ain't right here. I am house sitting in walking distance to this joint. I was looking for a spot to eat on this Tuesday evening. We were standing outside the door to the Harry Buffalo, and the GF says that there is a Taco Tuesday special at the West Side Tavern. We sit down and I see ceviche on special. CEVICHE?!?! In a TAVERN!!?!??! I ordered it, almost a joke. No way they're properly doing a proper ceviche. I ate those words, and a large helping of that delicious, lime cured grouper. It was ridiculously. I have been questing since I moved back north from Fla to find ceviche that wasn't absolutely disappointing. I found it in Lakewood. I gotta believe someone's grandma is back there, making sure it's right. I was so incredibly happy with that dish, they could have served me wood chips as an entree and I wouldn't have been upset.

Only giving even 1 star because of several previous good experiences. Went there tonight/ Monday, around 7:15 with 3 adults & 2 kids. Place maybe 1/3 occupied. Sat at a table for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement. My husband then went to bar & asked for menus. Server brought them & said she'd be " taking care of us". 15 minutes later --she never came back. No water, no drink orders, no anything. Walked out & went to Kenilworth where we promptly asked for drink & food orders/ had attentive service. Will definitely think twice about a return trip. Too many other good choices within a short walk.

I've tried the quesadillas and the French dip both I would highly recommend. They make ssauces homemade and I'm eager to try more of the food menu. On two different occasions I have visited this bar the staff is very friendly and they have a nice liquor/beer selection. With all the Covid19- I feel they are doing a great job with the social distancing and liked the sanitizer on wall. All in all a great spot to eat/drink in Lakewood.

Great service, great food, prices are reasonable and the drinks are perfect for brunch. Looking forward to going back.A mimosa for <5 can't beat that price!

Great drinks and atmosphere

Most people come to this area for other places, generally on this corner, I'm coming here.Awesome breakfast, and lunch. Good place to visit in the evenings with a few friends and enjoy some delicious alcohol as well.

After being seated, I waited about 15 minutes for any of the wait staff to even acknowledge that I was there. Waited another eternity for coffee that turned out to be burnt and not drinkable. My vegetarian option for BREAKFAST was a side salad...decided to pass. The French toast I got turned out to be gummy in the middle of the bread and cold, which means that not only was in not "fresh baked" as the menu claimed, it wasn't even entirely cooked. After paying my check, I was handed someone else's debit card with my receipt.

West end is one of my most favorite locations in Lakewood. It has great food and really good drink specials. It can get a little crowded on the weekend nights but generally the folks there are more well behaved then some if the other local bars in the area. The bartenders are also very friendly. So, would recommend food in the daytime and for drinks at night.
